Lisboneye Get in touch with the real vibes of Lisbon and Portugal!

If you are curious to get in touch with the real vibes of Lisbon and Portugal, Veerle Devos (aka ʻVosʼ) is your ideal travel companion. Vos enjoys taking curious travellers on a trip through the city and its surroundings, and most of all she likes to provide tailor-made visits and workshops for individuals, families, groups of friends and companies.

Vos is a historian, a journalist, an independent traveler, a writer and a curious urban walker. She was born and raised in Belgium, and has stayed in great places all over the globe while traveling for work and pleasure. Now she calls Portugal home. She’s been exploring her new Wonderland for many years now and keeps on discovering new delights she likes to share.

Vos has been writing for international magazines and newspapers for many years, among others about examples of good practice in design, art, architecture and urbanism.

In 2000 she founded USE-IT, an international guide for independent travelers. After a couple of intense years as USE-IT’s editor in chief she took some time off to travel to inspiring cities like Dhaka, Shenzhen, Istanbul, São Paulo, Kinshasa, Beirut, Manilla and Ramallah to name some. She then founded OUR, a research centre and production house specialised in 21th century cities, and published a book about the Portuguese in Brussels. End of 2019 Vos published ‘To Die For Portugal’, a personal travel guide and photo book about Portugal.

In January 2012 Vos became a travel companion and started organising alternative visits for curious and independent travelers. Because history, cities, people and traveling are her passions. And she likes to share these passions with you. Meet her for an exciting, genuine city trip and get in touch with the real vibes of Lisbon and Portugal!
